Goodreads Summary (From Netgalley):
At a school where Quantum Paradox 101 is a required course and history field trips are literal, sixteen year-old time traveler Bree Bennis excels…at screwing up.

After Bree botches a solo midterm to the 21st century by accidentally taking a boy hostage (a teensy snafu), she stands to lose her scholarship. But when Bree sneaks back to talk the kid into keeping his yap shut, she doesn’t go back far enough. The boy, Finn, now three years older and hot as a solar flare, is convinced he’s in love with Bree, or rather, a future version of her that doesn’t think he’s a complete pain in the arse. To make matters worse, she inadvertently transports him back to the 23rd century with her.

Once home, Bree discovers that a recent rash of accidents at her school are anything but accidental. Someone is attacking time travelers. As Bree and her temporal tagalong uncover seemingly unconnected clues—a broken bracelet, a missing data file, the art heist of the millennium—that lead to the person responsible, she alone has the knowledge to piece the puzzle together. Knowledge only one other person has. Her future self.

But when those closest to her become the next victims, Bree realizes the attacker is willing to do anything to stop her. In the past, present, or future.

Goodreads Summary:
Abby Bartlett is the quintessential nice girl. Between teaching, volunteering, completing her PhD, and helping her best friend raise his daughter, Abby never gets the chance to be anything but nice. That is, until the all-wrong-for-her man she’s only ever known from afar starts daring her to simply take that chance for herself. His sage advice? Try something wild and fast.

Preferably him.

An unbridled, hotshot attorney with a not-so-little black book, Connor Sullivan has earned himself quite the bad boy reputation. But in his defense, he’s a very conscientious one. He knows far too well that sometimes in life, love isn’t enough…or worse, not even a factor at all. To avoid that misery—and repel the drama—Connor always makes his one and only rule crystal clear right from the start. Absolutely nothing more than a month.

Turns out, a whole lot can happen in one month.

Note: This is NOT a standalone. This is the first book in a three-book serial.

STAY WITH ME TRAILER: EXCERPT: As I lay there, trying to swallow a loud, obnoxious yawn, I remembered something he’d said when we first met, about life being too short. I imagined he had firsthand experience with shortened lives while he was serving. That mentality came from experience. I got that now. Could even understand it, but there was something I didn’t understand. “Why?” I asked. There was a beat. “Why what?” Jax sounded tired, and I should shut up or point out that I was now tired and could sleep, so he could leave. But I didn’t. “Why are you here? You don’t know me and . . .” I trailed off, because there really wasn’t anything left to say. A minute went by, and he hadn’t answered my question, and then I think another minute ticked on, and I was okay with him not answering because maybe he didn’t even know. Or maybe he was just bored and that was why he was here. But then he moved. Jax pressed against my back, and the next breath I took got stuck in my throat. My eyes shot open. The sheet and blanket were between us, but they felt like nothing. “What are you doing?” I asked. “Getting comfortable.” He dropped an arm over my waist, and my entire body jerked against his. “It’s time to sleep I think.” “But—” “You can’t sleep when you talk,” he remarked. “You don’t need to be all up on me,” I pointed out. His answering chuckle stirred the hair along the back of my neck. “Honey, I’m not all up on you.” I freaking begged to differ on that point. I started to wiggle away, but the arm around my waist tightened, holding me in place. “You’re not going anywhere,” he announced casually, as if he wasn’t holding me prisoner in the bed. Okay. The whole prisoner thing might be melodramatic, but he wasn’t letting me up. Not when he was getting all kinds of comfy behind me. Oh my God, this was spooning. Total spooning. I was spooning with an honorary member of the Hot Guy Brigade. Did I wake up in a parallel universe? “Sleep,” he demanded, as if the one word carried that much power. “Go to sleep, Calla.” This time his voice was softer, quieter. “Yeah, it doesn’t work that way, Jax. You have a nice voice, but it doesn’t hold the power to make me sleep on your command.” He chuckled. I rolled my eyes, but the most ridiculous thing ever was the fact that after a couple of minutes, my eyes stayed shut. I . . . I actually settled in against him. With his front pressed to my back, his long legs cradling mine, and his arm snug around my waist, I actually did feel safe. More than that, I felt something else—something I hadn’t felt in years. I felt cared for . . . cherished. Which was the epitome of dumb, because I barely knew him, but feeling that, recognizing what the warm, buzzing feeling was, I fell right asleep.   Stay With Me Teaser 2     STAY WITH ME Synopsis: From the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Wait for You and Be with Me comes a daring tale that pushes boundaries . . . At 21, Calla hasn't done a lot of things. She’s never been kissed, never seen the ocean, never gone to an amusement park. But growing up, she witnessed some things no child ever should. Now, Calla has to go back to the small town she thought she’d left behind and clean up her mom’s mess again. Of course, when she arrives at her mother’s bar, Mona is nowhere to be found. Seeress by Ednah Walters

Goodreads Summary:
I love Torin St. James...
I need his strength…
But someone from his past wants me dead.

Raine Cooper is certain of two things: her love for Torin St. James and her destiny to be a powerful seeress. But when she starts having premonitions, they are unclear and disturbing. Worse, they involve Torin. With her mother gone, her father dying, and her best friend in Hel, she is not sure who to talk to.

But when the visions become more personal and she foresees her future with Torin threatened by someone from his past, Raine becomes desperate for answers. Just her luck two new students arrive at her school and they seem to have answers. When with them, her powers are enhanced and her visions become clear. There is only one problem: Torin forbids Raine to see the two girls.

Can their love survive without trust?

My Review:
Life can get a little scary when you finally start having visions but, they are of others of your kind being killed. Especially when the person behind it looks an awful lot like the man you love. This is Raine's life now. She tries to live day to day as normal as possible with her Dad's illness slowly getting worse. she has a lot going on. Never really any time to herself. To make matters worse a lot of her support structure is gone. She has her Dad and Torin to lean on. What do you do when you begin to suspect the closest people around you? When trust is questioned who wins?

We get to see a lot of our favorite characters in Seeress. Of course Echo is on the top of my list and him and Torin working together was something I never thought I'd see. I am pretty much addicted to Cora and Echo's story now so I am glad they were frequently in Seeress. We also get to see Eirik too! Yay!! I was so worried about him...still am I guess. One of the people that really surprised me was Ingrid. She has changed a lot since her sisters death. I really like where her character is going and I would love a story for her and Andris!

Raine and Torin are so perfect for each other. This is very evident in this book. They have some pretty intense make out sessions but, decided to wait for anything beyond that. Which is driving me crazy! These two need to hook up already! Ok, now that's out of my system. Torin even is surprised by some of the new people introduced in this one. A person from his past he never thought he'd see again. Even through all this and questionable trust, Raine is still there for Torin and Torin for Raine. Even I was worried about Torin. He does some sneaky stuff and disappears a few times. I was like what is he doing!?! Will Raine be able to trust Torin again?

I love Norse mythology so this series is one of my favorites. I am always curious about these characters and where their stories lead. I am hopeing for an Ingrid and Andris get together and books, as well as one for Eirik! A girl can dream right? If you haven't read this series yet go get it!

Teaser
(Mason’s point of view)

Suddenly, something caught the corner of my eyes and I turned away from Sky. Tiny bubbles of water hovered in the air in front of us. They looked like bubbles, so I zapped one with a small bolt and it popped.
I knew it was from Sky by the sly yet innocent smile and her giggles, not to mention a few more bubbles coming out of the water bottle. It was amazing to see this transformation, yet she was handling it better than I would have. Perhaps it was the fact that she was getting used to the paranormal life, and she had support around her.
I closed the bottle and handed it to her just in case she wanted more. With a shake of my head, I mouthed, “No, no, no.” After planting a kiss on her forehead, I put it back inside the backpack.
To my surprise, I saw more water bubblies, so I poked one with my finger … it wasn’t the reaction that I got last time. My finger went right through it, and it retained its form when I removed my finger. I even used my bolt, but nothing happened.
Turning at the sound of laughter, I noted we were engulfed with water bubbles, multiplying by the second. I glanced at Noah and Tim, the two that I thought were behind this, but when they seemed fascinated by it. Therefore, I knew they had nothing to do with it, especially since their water bottles were closed. The only other person I thought would do this was Sky, but she appeared worried instead of amused.
“Mason. I’m not doing this. I don’t think it’s from one of us,” she said under her breath. Her eyes were wide and frightened, glued to the bubbles dancing in front of her.

Teaser
(Skylar’s point of view)

When I sensed movement, I peered up. Seeing countless liquid droplets hovering above us, as if they were raindrops frozen in place, was a clear indication that Poseidon’s descendants were somewhere in the room. It was a beautiful sight, yet deadly. I knew at any moment it could change its shape into something sharp and lethal. I became uneasy, especially when they were right above us.
When I followed the line of the vultures’ vision, I saw liquids of various colors—the colors of whatever drinks had spilled on the floor—slithering toward us. Then they lifted, swirling continuously in a circular motion, and finally forming into a huge sphere.
“Why are they still in human form?” Nicked shouted, having both of his hands raised, ready to attack. “They’ve already scared all of the humans away.”
“I have no idea,” Mason replied.
“Where’s Kayla?” I asked frantically. Bewildered by what I was able to do, I had forgotten about my cousin.
“She’s out. She’s underneath the bar,” Nick explained. “I had no choice. It was the safest place.”
I felt horrible. Many times before, Kayla had to be knocked out, but at least she was safe and that was all that mattered.
“What do we do?” Amanda asked. “We’re just standing here in ninja stance, having a staring contest.”
“Maybe they’re not vultures?” Everett added.
“They sure smell like them,” Nick sneered.
“Maybe they’re scared shitless. I would be too if I had those things pointing at me,” Nick commented.
“What do you want?” Mason asked the strangers in an authoritative tone, and asked another when there was no answer. “Who sent you?”

Title: Wicked
Author: Jennifer Armentrout
Series Number: 1
Release Date: December 8, 2014

Goodreads Summary:
Things are about to get Wicked in New Orleans.

Twenty-two year old Ivy Morgan isn’t your average college student. She, and others like her, know humans aren’t the only thing trolling the French Quarter for fun… and for food. Her duty to the Order is her life. After all, four years ago, she lost everything at the hands of the creatures she’d sworn to hunt, tearing her world and her heart apart.

Ren Owens is the last person Ivy expected to enter her rigidly controlled life. He’s six feet and three inches of temptation and swoon-inducing charm. With forest-green eyes and a smile that’s surely left a stream of broken hearts in its wake, he has an uncanny, almost unnatural ability to make her yearn for everything he has to offer. But letting him in is as dangerous as hunting the cold-blooded killers stalking the streets. Losing the boy she loved once before had nearly destroyed her, but the sparking tension that grows between them becomes impossible for Ivy to deny. Deep down, she wants… she needs more than what her duty demands of her, what her past has shaped for her.

But as Ivy grows closer to Ren, she realizes she’s not the only one carrying secrets that could shatter the frail bond between them. There’s something he’s not telling her, and one thing is for certain. She’s no longer sure what is more dangerous to her—the ancient beings threatening to take over the town or the man demanding to lay claim to her heart and her soul.

My Thoughts:
First of all, YAY it has a cover and it is insanely awesome. This is one of the best covers of the year. They did an amazing job with it. I would love to get my hands on an ARC of this baby!

ARC Review of Made for You by Melissa Marr

Goodreads Summary:
Bestselling author of the Wicked Lovely books Melissa Marr’s first contemporary YA novel is a twisted southern gothic tale of obsession, romance, and murder. A killer is obsessed with Eva Tilling. Can she stop him, or will he claim her?

When Eva Tilling wakes up in the hospital, she’s confused—who in her sleepy little North Carolina town could have hit her with their car? And why? But before she can consider the question, she finds that she’s awoken with a strange new skill: the ability to foresee people’s deaths when they touch her. While she is recovering from the hit-and-run, Nate, an old flame, reappears, and the two must traverse their rocky past as they figure out how to use Eva’s power to keep her friends—and themselves—alive. But while Eva and Nate grow closer, the killer grows increasingly frantic in his attempt to get to Eva.

For the first time, New York Times bestselling author Melissa Marr has applied her extraordinary talent to contemporary realism. Chilling twists, unrequited obsession, and high-stakes romance drive this Gothic, racy thriller—a story of small-town oppression and salvation. Melissa’s fans, and every YA reader, will find its wild ride enthralling.

My Review:
Eva has an interesting life. The boy that she pines for ignores her and the guy she is with is more of a friend then a boyfriend. She seems to be happy on the outside but, on the inside she hurts. What she never expected was for her whole life to change. The night she is hit by a car while walking home will leave her a different person. With scars on the outside as well as the inside. Her parents are overseas and are having trouble getting home so she has her friend Grace. Eva struggles with the healing process as her face is left pretty scarred after the accident which is traumatic for any teenager. Things are further complicated by the fact that when she touches people she see's their deaths and the accident was not an accident but, was done on purpose. Whether its a murder or of natural causes. One of the only good things that come from her accident is that she reconnects with Nate. Her childhood friend and crush. Will Eva be able to figure out what is going on with her new power in time to save her loved ones or will her friends and family fall victim to the mystery stalker?

I liked how this book went into different POV's. We got to see Eva, Grace, and Judge (aka stalker/killer). We got a glimpse into everyone's mind which was great for the story and world building. I enjoyed all the characters, except for the killer obviously. Eva's parents even made big strides.

I loved Eva's relationship with Nate. It seemed so natural. When you almost lose someone you care about it changes you. It makes you really think about the fact that they would have been gone forever. I think Nate realizes this and wants to change things. He also knows that Eva is popular and he has a bad reputation and doesn't want to hurt her. They grow closer over the course of the story and I loved it. I felt like I was living this right along with them. The writing was brilliant. There is a little romance in between serious moments too. I mean come on they are teenagers. Will they be able to work together to catch the killer? Will Eva's visions all come true?

I really enjoyed this book. It was full of suspense and intrigue. There were a lot of twists! I thought I knew who the killer was a couple times and I was wrong both times! It was a great quick read and I highly recommend it!

(Mason’s point of view)

“Everett, stand behind us,” I ordered. I didn’t mean to sound forceful and demanding, but his life was at stake. The vultures could seriously hurt him with their bolts. As Nick and I fought back with our lights standing side by side, Everett managed to stay behind us.
I could tell from the way they maneuvered and worked as a team that this group of vultures was smarter. Not only that, their lights moved like whips. Whack! Whack! Damn it! One lashed across my shirt and burnt through it. Then I wondered if I could move my light like them. Before I could try, the five vultures joined their bolts into one, and it was coming straight for us.
“Shit!” Nick yelled, combining his light with mine. “Theirs is so much bigger and brighter. Can we take them?” Our light hit theirs, creating a massive spark of light, blinding our visions. The impact caused individual lights to shoot out.
“Hell, yes.”
Feeling like more distance was between Sky and me, I became desperate. I didn’t care if I burnt down this forest. I was going to get to Sky … now. What I was about to do next would drain me, but it was the only thing I could think of.
Feeling blistering heat course through me, with one hand raised to the sky, I called upon the lightning. Thunder roared loudly and lightning lit up the dark sky. I directed it to the vultures, and to the light Nick and I were emanating.
“Ace in your face!” Nick shouted. Just as Nick said those words, the strength of our light expanded, and at the same time the lightning impacted on the vultures.

Mary Ting resides in Southern California with her husband and two children. She enjoys oil painting and making jewelry. Writing her first novel, Crossroads Saga, happened by chance. It was a way to grieve the death of her beloved grandmother, and inspired by a dream she once had as a young girl. When she started reading new adult novels, she fell in love with the genre. It was the reason she had to write one-Something Great. Why the pen name, M Clarke? She tours with Magic Johnson Foundation to promote literacy and her children’s chapter book-No Bullies Allowed.
