Title: Wicked Fall
Author: Sawyer Bennett
Series Number: 1
Release Date: July 28, 2015

Synopsis
Never in your wildest dreams could you begin to imagine all the filthy and depraved things that go on inside The Wicked Horse. Step inside and Woolf Jennings will make every one of your dirty fantasies come true.

He’s covered in a facade of deception. An enticing blend of multi-millionaire and hot-as-hell Wyoming rancher, those that think they know Woolf Jennings admire his abilities to preside as CEO of his family’s cattle and oil empire. But only a privileged few truly understand what fuels the glitter of depravity in those gorgeous blue eyes. Only a few know he’s opened up a sinfully erotic and private sex club named The Wicked Horse right at the base of the beautiful Teton Mountain range.

Sweet Callie Hayes has returned home to Wyoming and is looking forward to starting her life over again. After a night of impetuosity, she’s managed to put herself right in Woolf’s line of sight… the man who she foolishly offered up her virginity to years ago and was flatly turned down.

Now Woolf is seeing that Callie is all grown up and has a kinky side to her that leaves him as confused as it does turned on. Worse yet, both Callie’s dirty desires and sweet heart are getting under his skin, and making Woolf question everything he’s ever believed about himself.

ARC Review of Storm Siren by Mary Weber

Goodreads Summary:
"I thrust my hand toward the sky as my voice begs the Elemental inside me to waken and rise. But it's no use. The curse I've spent my entire life abhorring—the thing I trained so hard to control—no longer exists."

Nym has saved Faelen only to discover that Draewulf stole everything she valued. Now he’s destroyed her Elemental storm-summoning ability as well.

When Nym sneaks off with a host of delegates to Bron, Lord Myles offers her the chance for a new kind of power and the whispered hope that it may do more than simply defeat the monster she loathes. But the secrets the Bron people have kept concealed, along with the horrors Draewulf has developed, may require more than simply harnessing a darker ability.

They may require who she is.

Set against the stark metallic backdrop of the Bron kingdom, Nym is faced with the chance to change the future.

Or was that Draewulf’s plan for her all along?

My Review:
Storm Siren starts of with a bang. Nym is back but, she has been deceived. Draewulf has not been killed as everyone thought he had. He has taken the form of another and Nym is painfully aware of who he is. The worst part is she is now powerless. He has destroyed her powers. Now she must try to figure out what Draewulf's plan is before he kills them all. This book did move a little slower then the previous book but, after the cliffhanger of book one I need to read it! How will she do this without her powers? Is she now alone in this fight?

Nym finds herself relying on someone. Rasha. These two must work together to keep their country safe. Nym shows fierce loyalty in Storm Siren. She goes above and beyond to keep everyone safe yet again. Nym shows intense determination to accomplish what she must. I really liked the character development for Nym and Rasha during this book. You see a whole new side to them and it was awesome.

The romance in this one was minimal. I would have liked that to be a little different for obvious reasons once you read it. I don't want to give anything away though! I have high hopes for Eogan and Nym!! I have no idea how it will turn out but, I will have to wait for the next book!

Title: A Madness So Discreet
Author: Mindy McGinnis
Series Number: 1
Release Date: October 6, 2015

Goodreads Summary:
Grace Mae knows madness.

She keeps it locked away, along with her voice, trapped deep inside a brilliant mind that cannot forget horrific family secrets. Those secrets, along with the bulge in her belly, land her in a Boston insane asylum.

When her voice returns in a burst of violence, Grace is banished to the dark cellars, where her mind is discovered by a visiting doctor who dabbles in the new study of criminal psychology. With her keen eyes and sharp memory, Grace will make the perfect assistant at crime scenes. Escaping from Boston to the safety of an ethical Ohio asylum, Grace finds friendship and hope, hints of a life she should have had. But gruesome nights bring Grace and the doctor into the circle of a killer who stalks young women. Grace, continuing to operate under the cloak of madness, must hunt a murderer while she confronts the demons in her own past.

In this beautifully twisted historical thriller, Mindy McGinnis, acclaimed author of Not a Drop to Drink and In a Handful of Dust, explores the fine line between sanity and insanity, good and evil—and the madness that exists in all of us.

My Thoughts:
I'm not going to lie, the cover drew my to this book instantly. I saw it and was like I must read this book! The description also is different from what I usually read so I will give it a chance.

Sugar by Deirdre Riordan Hall

Goodreads Summary:
I’m the fat Puerto Rican–Polish girl who doesn’t feel like she belongs in her skin, or anywhere else for that matter. I’ve always been too much and yet not enough.

Sugar Legowski-Gracia wasn’t always fat, but fat is what she is now at age seventeen. Not as fat as her mama, who is so big she hasn’t gotten out of bed in months. Not as heavy as her brother, Skunk, who has more meanness in him than fat, which is saying something. But she’s large enough to be the object of ridicule wherever she is: at the grocery store, walking down the street, at school. Sugar’s life is dictated by taking care of Mama in their run-down home—cooking, shopping, and, well, eating. A lot of eating, which Sugar hates as much as she loves.

When Sugar meets Even (not Evan—his nearly illiterate father misspelled his name on the birth certificate), she has the new experience of someone seeing her and not her body. As their unlikely friendship builds, Sugar allows herself to think about the future for the first time, a future not weighed down by her body or her mother.

Soon Sugar will have to decide whether to become the girl that Even helps her see within herself or to sink into the darkness of the skin-deep role her family and her life have created for her.

My Review:
If this book doesn't pull on your heart strings then I believe you are not human. Sugar has not had a good life. She has been bullied since she can remember. By more then just the kids at school but, by her family. Which is incredibly ironic! Her Mom and brother, Skunk, are awful to her. She is a victim of physical and emotional abuse. She copes with all of this with food. Like many people in this world she seeks comfort in sweets. I think we all do that at times. Sugar is overweight which is why she is bullied so badly. Kids can be so cruel to each other but, family on family violence is simply unacceptable. Sugar hates herself and her life. That is until one person changes everything. Even. He He looks passed the outside and sees what an amazing person Sugar really is. Is Even enough to convince Sugar that she is an amazing person with a bright future or is she destined to be forever weighed down by her family?

Even is an awesome guy. He changes the way Sugar sees herself. Gives her a little self esteem. She is desperately in need of  a self esteem boost. Which is very hard when you have been on the receiving end of crap your whole life from everyone around you. He was the friend that Sugar always hoped she'd have. He was a gentleman towards her as well. He is the kind of guy someone dreams about finding. Their friendship grows into something more but, never anything to hot and heavy. It was like a blossoming flower. You see, Even's life was not picture perfect either. They are two peas in a pod. Will they be the answer to each other's prayers?

The ending to this book broke my heart. I was so shocked by it. I cried...Ok so not the absolute ending I guess but, leading up to it. It was still kind of a happy ending, just not the one I was hoping for. I will definitely be picking up more from this author.

From Origins by Mary Ting

Goodreads Summary:
Skylar, Mason, and the other descendants embark a deadly quest to the underworld to confront the evil Hades, who has been plotting to kill off the descendants of all the gods.
On this journey, they soon discover that the ancient gods are not dead as once believed but are held captive in a secret location. In order to save the world from destruction at the hands of Hephaestus, the descendants must set out on a crusade to rescue the gods.

In the process, Skylar learns more about her bloodline and her powers, but there is also a heavy price to pay. The darkest forces known to man are about to return to reclaim their stolen kingdom.

My Review:
From Origins picks up pretty quickly after the previous book leaves off. We are thrown back into Skylar and Mason's lives. Which have not got any easier since we last saw them. Some huge situation needs to be made and they are about to embark on a journey to the Underworld. This journey will test them. They will not leave the same people. Skaylar can't do it without Mason. They are one in the same and need each other. They gather strength from each other and together they can do great things. We get even more mythology in this one too. Oh, I love Greek mythology and what's better is meeting Hades! Things are about to get intense. Skylar is going to have to choose which path to take. Will she be able to handle her choice?

Mason and Skylar are perfect. The writing that depicts their relationship is stunning. They are the perfect couple. Skylar has tried so hard to embrace her life and become what she needs to. Without the help of Mason and their family I don't think she could have accomplished what she has. She has transformed into a very powerful female character and I love that. Will everything she has be enough to help her meet her destiny head on or will the other forces at work keep her from it?

The secondary characters are still amazing. They have been a very strong support system for Skylar. She has been through a lot in a very short amount of time. Not the kind of thing your average young adult has to deal with. It's not like graduation or going to college, its way harder. Without them she would be lost.

I love this series and Mary Ting has done an amazing job weaving Greek mythology into From Origins! I love Greek mythology and when it is done like this it only strengthens my love for it! Bring on book 4!!

End of Days by Susan Ee

Goodreads Summary:
End of Days is the explosive conclusion to Susan Ee’s bestselling Penryn & the End of Days trilogy.

After a daring escape from the angels, Penryn and Raffe are on the run. They’re both desperate to find a doctor who can reverse the twisted changes inflicted by the angels on Raffe and Penryn’s sister. As they set off in search of answers, a startling revelation about Raffe’s past unleashes dark forces that threaten them all.

When the angels release an apocalyptic nightmare onto humans, both sides are set on a path toward war. As unlikely alliances form and strategies shift, who will emerge victorious? Forced to pick sides in the fight for control of the earthly realm, Raffe and Penryn must choose: Their own kind, or each other?

My Review:
I am both sad and excited to do this review. I loved this series and am so sad that it has ended but, holy crap did it end with a bang. This series has always been a little different, more realistic in my mind. Angels being the unbeatable adversary. People died and it isn't the "Oh it's the end of the world but, I am loving life" version of the End of Days. That is one of my favorite qualities of this series. Penryn and her family have been through it all. I can't imagine how Penryn has managed to keep it together like she has. Especially with what happened to her sister and things being so rocky with Raffe. She is an insanely strong individual who deserves a happy ending. They have been though enough and the End of Days is no exception. What could there be left to do? War. War is what you do now. Penryn is prepare but, so are the Angels. They are preparing for a fight they can't win. Will it be the End of Days for humanity.

The dynamic between Penryn and Raffe is different now. She is looking more and more like the forbidden Daughter of Man to Raffe then just an annoying girl. She has gone through a lot to help him. Has done and gone places nobody else would have for him. She cared for him when he had demon wings! How can you not develop feelings for someone like that? Penryn obviously has feelings for Raffe as well. Lets be honest, its quite possible the End of Days and what would you do with your super hot angel protector?! I'd make a move that's for sure. There are some romantic moments but, nothing to hot and heavy. I was like why does it have to be so tense!! Let them have some alone time!

I loved this series and I am sad to see it end. I never saw any other ending for this series and I am happy with it. I would have liked a longer Epilogue though! Now is the time to pick this series up if you haven't read it yet!

Title: Dream A Little Dream
Author: Kerstin Gier
Series Number: 1
Release Date: April 14, 2015

Goodreads Summary:
Mysterious doors with lizard-head knobs. Talking stone statues. A crazy girl with a hatchet. Yes, Liv's dreams have been pretty weird lately. Especially the one where she's in a graveyard at night, watching four boys conduct dark magic rituals.

The strangest part is that Liv recognizes the boys in her dream. They're classmates from her new school in London, the school where she's starting over because her mom has moved them to a new country (again). But what's really scaring Liv is that the dream boys seem to know things about her in real life, things they couldn't possibly know--unless they actually are in her dreams? Luckily, Liv never could resist a good mystery, and all four of those boys are pretty cute....

My Thoughts:
I love this cover and the book sounds amazing. I am hoping for a trip to the bookstore soon to get my hands on it!

Goodreads Sumamry:
Can be read as a standalone.

Revenge is an euphoric thing. Trust me on this. Nothing compares to the release you get when you ruin someone’s life. When they’ve stolen important things. Things that didn’t belong to them. Things I revel in making them pay for.

What? Have I offended you? I’m not here to appeal to your delicate senses. I have no intention of placating your wishes or living within your personal belief system nor do I care if you hate me. And you will hate me. Because I’m a brutal, savage, cold-blooded murderer and I’m here for my revenge.

I’m Ethan Moonsong…And this is the story about how I went from the world’s most sacrificing man to the most feared and why I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world.

BLOG TOUR!! Clipped by Love by Toni Aleo!!

Clipped by Love by Toni Aleo
Contemporary Romance
Bellevue Bullies #2

Things are heating up for the Sinclair boys! With one already in the NHL, Jayden Sinclair is hoping to be next!

This has been the toughest year of my life. I watched my brother go into the draft without me, my mom got divorced, and the weight of my family’s issues is heavy on my shoulders. I feel like it’s my job to fix everything while working my butt off in school and trying to make my game better. I have to go into the draft. It will give my family the support they need, and it will prove that I’m good enough. But to get there, I have to show I can be the best captain for the Bellevue Bullies. The spot is mine—no one can take it. First though, Jude is making me go on a brother’s weekend. Innocent enough, I guess…until I see her. She’s the biggest competitor I’ve ever faced. Not only for my spot but also my heart. It’s hard to ignore someone like Baylor Moore.

***

I don’t lose. I can’t. My dad has bred me to be the best in anything I do. I am driven, I am smart, and I am going to be the first woman in the National Hockey League. No two ways about it. I’ve worked too hard. I’ve been through too much not to have what I want. I know I can do it. I will make my dad proud, and no one will stand in the way of that. That is, until I let him in. He scares me. He makes me feel. And he could very well be the one person who can make me want more than just to win.

We both have the same goal. Victory. But how do you compete against the person you want to win? It’s not easy. Love isn’t something you can control. It isn’t like a puck that can be handled by a stick. No, it has a mind of its own and does what it wants.

Neither of us saw it coming, and we really don’t know if there is a way to score, especially when you’re being Clipped by Love.

My Review:
Let me start by saying, Toni Aleo has done it again! Clipped by Love was amazing! I absolutly loved Baylor and Jayden. There story has quickly become one of my favorites. Baylor is a thick headed stubborn girl who happens to be a bad ass hockey player. Her world is turned upside down during a before season trip when she meets Jayden. Not in the way you would think either. He hurts her pretty bad, which is hard to do. From that day on neither of them are the same. They have made their marks on one another. This is made even more interesting when Baylor's Dad becomes the new coach of the Bullies. If only I could have seen Jayden's jaw drop when she takes her helmet off! These two start off as oil and water. Will these two ever get along? Are they destined to butt heads forever and miss out on something amazing?

Baylor does not make friends easily. Growing up surrounded by guys makes that difficult. She has always been the odd man out playing on all boys teams but, it has made her the amazing player that she is.  It has been her and her Dad against the world. I think this is what makes her all over the place emotionally sometimes. She missed out on a mother figure and has played in male sports her whole life. She never got to be a "girl". I think that is why she sometimes acts selfishly. Her heart has been handled the same way.She has let one guy in and it ended disastrously. She guards her heart with extra padding so she doesn't get hurt again. Can Jayden change all that?

Jayden is perfect for her. The perfect mixture of insanely hot hockey player and sweet sensitive man. Their relationship takes time and is not without its challenges especially with them being on the same team. I loved it though. The first time they kissed left me in tears. Yes, they had been drinking but, it made my heart explode! It's the kind of kiss every girl dreams about with their handsome prince. Their romance is more then just sweet kisses and cute smiles though, trust me. It is fiery hot at some points! Jayden hasn't had it easy either with his family drama. He is trying though. I have to admit, he is one hell of a guy with an insane amount of patient's. Baylor is not an easy one to deal with sometimes. Honestly, I think I love him and would love to take him home with me and make him mine so....there's that!

This was a beautiful story and I absolutely loved it. I have been in a book funk lately and this one completely took me out of it. Leave it to Toni Aleo! I am hoping we get Jace's story at some point because it will be amazing! Once again, Aleo has blown my mind with hockey awesomeness! Please, please keep them coming!

BLOG TOUR!! Yield by Sawyer Bennett!

Yield: A Legal Affairs Story (Book #3 of Cal and Macy’s Story)

By: Sawyer Bennett

Release Date: May 5, 2015
Yield is the final book the Legal Affairs trilogy of Cal and Macy’s story. Clash and Grind, Books #1 and #2, are now available for purchase.

Yield Synopsis:

**Due to sexual content and heavy subject matter of an abusive nature, this book may not be suitable for all audiences. Yield (verb): to surrender or submit (oneself) to another Macy Carrington is broken. The strong, beautiful woman that I’ve unwittingly fallen in love with is all kinds of broken from a secret that she has carried for far too long. A secret so dark, she has gone to great lengths to protect it. A secret that I’m terrified will one day rip her away from me. The only time Macy frees herself from the darkness is when she is naked and in my arms. When I am deep inside her body, there is nothing she fears. When she wraps herself around me, she is at peace. If she would only yield to me completely, I know I can set her free.

My Review:
Wow, hold on to your panties for this one guys. This is by far one of the hottest series yet by Sawyer Bennett. I love the characters too! We get a little of the original cast mixed in with  Macy and Cal's story. They are by far a couple of my favorite characters. It's hard to imagine how I disliked Cal so much in the previous series and love him so much now. He went above and beyond for Macy. He was a true man who fought for his woman in more ways then one. Even after finding out what happened to Macy. Which, by the way, is one of the most horrible things that could happen to someone. Can these two get passed all of the issues that have come up? Will Macy ever think she deserves to be loved by a man like Cal?

The relationship between Macy and Cal starts of as strictly sexual. They are like peanut butter and jelly when it comes to sex. It quickly turns into something more. Especially when Macy has to work with Cal as her lawyer and things take a personal turn. It was insanely hard for Cal to keep things professional. Especially after he finds out what happened to Macy. He went full on man beast after that. Which was pretty awesome if you ask me. For a man to go so primal to avenge you is pretty awesome! These two had some serious connection that turned into something more.

I loved this series and am so glad I got to take part in the tour! Sawyer Bennett has a way of writing some intense love scenes but, also with a passion that makes you love the characters. This series was exatly that. Filled with love, passion, and need. It was a wild ride that I'm glad I was on!

Back home, they called her Ruthless. They had no idea just how right they were.

My Thoughts:
This one just sounds exciting. It has had a lot of great early reviews too. Can't wait for it!

ARC revoew of A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas

Goodreads Summary:
When nineteen-year-old huntress Feyre kills a wolf in the woods, a beast-like creature arrives to demand retribution for it. Dragged to a treacherous magical land she only knows about from legends, Feyre discovers that her captor is not an animal, but Tamlin—one of the lethal, immortal faeries who once ruled their world.

As she dwells on his estate, her feelings for Tamlin transform from icy hostility into a fiery passion that burns through every lie and warning she's been told about the beautiful, dangerous world of the Fae. But an ancient, wicked shadow grows over the faerie lands, and Feyre must find a way to stop it . . . or doom Tamlin—and his world—forever.

Perfect for fans of Kristin Cashore and George R. R. Martin, this first book in a sexy and action-packed new series is impossible to put down!

My Review:
Beauty and the Beast is one of my favorite stories. So of course a retelling of it with the Fae is going to be a for sure read for me! I was really looking forward to this book! Feyre has had a rough go of things. Her family has lost everything and she has to do what she can to help support them by hunting in the woods near their home. I felt like Feyre was kind of burdened by having to take care of her sisters. She has two of them and wishes they would marry and leave so she can do more of what she wants to do. She had to grow up faster then she would have liked and missed out on things that she wants. Little did she know that hunting would change her life in a way she never expected. After a hunt a stranger comes to her door and not a human one either. A fae. Who claims he has taken from her and now she must come with him or die. What will Feyre do?

I really enjoyed Tamlin. He has a lot of atributes that a human bad boy would have. I loved the building of his world as well. I felt like I was there and could picture it in my mind. The iconic story of Beauty and the Beast can be felt through out the book. I did feel like this one took a darker turn. It was insanely fun to read. Tamlin and Feyre are such an interesting pair. I was sucked in by their story.

I really enjoyed this book. I have always been a lover of the Fae so it was perfect. The ending totally blew me away and has left me sad that the next book isn't due out until 2016. Sometimes books leave you dying for more and this is one of them!
